About the Rosepark Residents Association

The Rosepark Residents Association was formed on 1st December 2011 and is well established with numerous events and initiatives organised for the betterment of the local area. The Residents Association is an elected committee of eight people and represents the residents of Rosepark Estate in Balrothery.

We formed to promote and enhance the environment of the area, in which we all live and furthermore, to ensure that Rosepark is well represented when dealing with Local and Statutory Bodies.

  • Wavin Lake

    Wavin Lake

    Did you know that Balrothery has a lake? We’re not kidding! There really is a lake in Balrothery and it’s called Wavin Lake. It’s located just beyond the Tennis Courts, heading towards the M1 motorway. It’s a man made lake, was built in 1826 and is fed by the Delvin Rivier. The Gormanston & District Anglers were set up in the 1970’s to take charge and care of the Delvin River but it is a public amenity for all the residents of the area to utilise and you can learn more about it’s history by visiting www.gormanstonanglers.com.

    Balrothery has a wonderful tennis club that is open to everyone although an annual membership fee does apply of €170 for family, €110 for an adult and €50 for a child. Visit their website at balrotherybalbriggantennisclub.com

  • Balrothery Heritage Centre

    Balrothery Heritage Centre

    The Heritage Centre is used by the local community for concerts, drama and as a youth centre for community. The Heritage Centre is regularly used by the Balrothery Heritage Singers who caters for young singers in the area from the age of 6 has been putting on shows for almost 20 years, Under the direction of Mrs Anna Heffernan. The Centre is also used for meetings by various groups and use of the concert centre can be booked through Susan Lynch on 0877618082

    North County Cricket Club

    North County Cricket Club

    The North County Cricket Club located in the Balrothery Area is the most successful cricket club in Ireland and has state of the art facilities, so whether its a fun day out with the family as they have a play area to entertain the kids or its a sport you are getting into, the cricket grounds are well worth a visit.

  • Balrothery Community Centre

    Balrothery Community Centre

    Balrothery’s Community Centre is hidden away at wood view just up from the villege green. There’s no website but you can book the Community Centre for an event or meeting by phoning (01) 8414139.

    Balrothery Football Pitches

    Balrothery Football Pitches

    Balrothery has it’s own Football Pitches and Football Club Balrothery F.C. and is always looking for local people to play with and volunteer with the club. On writing this, their website is down but you can find them at their Facebook Page facebook.com/balrothery. The football pitches are located just above and behind the Tennis Club.
